New Men’s League Now Forming: Wednesday Afternoon

Looking to join a golf league this summer? The Wednesday Afternoon Oak Hills Men’s League is now forming. Play begins July 8th through September 23rd.

Details Include:

  • $100 cash entry fee
  • Tee times mid-afternoon each Wednesday
  • Weekly proximity cash awards on Par 3’s and “best in handicap group” cash awards each four-week segment
  • Register as an individual or as part of a regular foursome

The Bar Will Open: Phase 4 of “Restore Illinois”

As part of the Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, new changes will impact a number of businesses. The Revitalization Phase of the Restore Illinois public health approach to reopening the Illinois economy includes gatherings of up to 50 people, additional programs reopening and increased capacities. We must all continue to social distance, frequently wash our hands, and cover our faces to maintain progress in overcoming COVID-19.

At this time, restaurant and bar establishments will be allowed to resume indoor dining operations. This means at Oak Hills Country Club, our bar will open this Friday, June 26, 2020. Below is an overview of what you, our patrons, will notice:

  • Table and bar seating will be configured to allow for social distancing.
  • Patrons should wear face coverings over their nose and mouth while on premises, except while eating and drinking at your table.
  • While standing in line for ordering, patrons are asked to wear a face covering and follow social distancing.
  • It is recommended all continue the practice of washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, as well as utilize hand sanitizer when one comes into contact with shared amenities or equipment.

Illinois in Stage 3 – What This Means for Golf at Oak Hills

As Illinois prepares to enter “Phase 3” in the reopening of the state on May 29, 2020, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has published updated Phase 3 Golf Operational Restrictions.

• Players may be grouped in foursomes
• Tee times must be spaced a minimum of 10 minutes apart
• Golf carts are permitted. Individuals not members of the same household shall use individual carts. Golf courses shall sanitize each cart after each use.
• Putting greens are permitted with 50% capacity.

Stay tuned, as more changes are expected later this June.

Golf Opens May 1, 2020

Oak Hills Country Club will be open for play this Friday, May 1, 2020 under guidelines set forth by the State of Illinois. The full list of guidelines as it pertains to golf can be accessed at https://bit.ly/2S7HcB0.

Tee times currently are been taken on our website, click here for tee times. Please note, payment must be made at the time of booking. For any questions, please call 708.448.5544 or 708.752.6720.

The following guidelines and restrictions, as established by the State of Illinois, are being strictly followed. We strongly suggest that our patrons always consider wearing masks and maintaining six feet distancing  to properly protect themselves and others while on the property grounds.

As per guidelines:

  • Only twosomes will be allowed on the course, and tee time intervals will be spaced 15 minutes apart
  • The Pro Shop will remain closed
  • The practice putting greens will not be available
  • Cups will be altered, so the ball will not go in the hole
  • Touching/Removing the flagstick is strictly prohibited
  • Bunker rakes, water stations, ball washers, and seed bottles will be removed
  • Guests will be allowed to bring their own pull carts for use. Rentals will not be available
  • Scorecards and pencils will not be available
  • Riding carts will be allowed for “individuals with a physical disability or physical limitations that prevent them from walking the course”
